April 2

As a new month is beginning, my online community offers great resources, suggestions and advice to get and stay organized.  This site is all about motivating each other, and getting things accomplished.  I've been reading a lot of posts about trying to get started in organizing things, when you don't know where or how to begin.  It is all very positive and encouraging and empowering.  The suggestions that are offered have been useful and I will have to try some other things as well.

Week 6- March 19

Well, this has been a very challenging week!  I am trying to keep up with everything that needs to get done, however I often feel one step behind it all.  The community I joined offers so many great ideas that attempt to help people get and stay organized.  I am trying to utilize some of the suggestions in order to stay organized.  One thing that continues to impress me is how supportive and encouraging everybody is on the community blog.  They only offer positive words, and it is very refreshing!

Week 5- March 9

This site continues to provide me with new and exciting information.  This week they shared ideas of a "command central binder."  This is a 3-ring binder, that organizes all of your paperwork that usually gets cluttered around the house.  They included a section for carry-out menus, a section for sports schedules, and one for phone directories.  Each individual person will have specific things that he/she will want to incorporate in the binder.  I do not have a binder like this, but I can definitely see how this binder would help keep me organized!   One thing I have noticed about this site, is that they have many things you can download for free, to help you get and stay organized!

Week 4- March 3

This organizing blog that I joined is really awesome!  Now that we have started a new month, there is a "March Get Organized Checklist."  I like to consider myself somewhat organized, however this checklist offered some great suggestions.  A lot of things I probably wouldn't think about doing with regards to organizing and cleaning.  The followers on this blog continue to be encouraging of one another and very supportive.  Up to this point, everything I have read and seen with regards to digital citizenship has been appropriate.  I will continue to look for signs of this.

Week 3- February 25

I am really enjoying the community blog that I started to follow.  This is all very new for me, as I have never participated in something like this before.  The blog is a very positive, encouraging environment online.  It helps people get and stay organized in their daily lives.  The people seem to be supportive of each other and offer good advice.  I like the fact that everyone seems to be productive, getting a lot of things accomplished throughout their day.  Most write about their "To Do List", as well as their "Play List."  I am a list writing type of person, so I can completely see myself doing this!

Week 2- February 19, 2011

I am very excited about joining a new blog site this week.  I found a blog to follow about being organized.  I love organizing things around my house, as well as my classroom.  When I am around clutter and mess, I have a hard time functioning.  I get grouchy and irritated.  It is not good for my physical health and sanity!  The site is called Simplify 101: Creative Organizing Blog.  After spending a lot of time looking through it, I found it has organizing tips, articles, photos of organizing projects, online workshops, and much more!  I am really excited about all the things I will learn.  My life can easily get disorganized and cluttered, simply due to our hectic family schedule.  I am a wife, mother to 3 young children, teacher and student.  The more things I can have organized, the better!  I look forward to new opportunities to organize!

Week 1

My name is Krista and I teach Jr. Kindergarten at a private, Christian school.  Teaching my students about Jesus and His love every day is wonderful.  Introducing the children to Bible stories, some for the very first time, is a true privilege.  There are exciting things happening in my class each and every day, as I am sure you can imagine with a class full of four and five year olds

When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family.  I am married and have three children.  We are an active family, and enjoy sports and being outdoors.  This is my final class in order to clear my credential.  Although I am excited to be so close to the end, I am apprehensive about this class, as I am not very computer savvy.
